Get game day started the Javelina way!

Join us under the Javelina Alumni Tent at every home football game for a fun, family-friendly tailgate experience. Connect with fellow alumni, enjoy the pregame atmosphere, and show your Javelina Pride.

We're set up three hours before kickoff in the tailgating area on the east side of Javelina Stadium—come early, stay awhile, and get ready for Javelina Football!

Tailgating Guidelines

TAMUK tailgating compliments the Javelina game day experience. To ensure a safe and positive environment, the following guidelines are enforced.

  1. One (1) tailgate space per group.
  2. Tailgate lots open at 7:00 AM on game day and close at 10:30 PM. All equipment must be removed by noon Sunday.
  3. Spaces are first-come, first-served. Please respect reserved areas and lane markings.
  4. The Department of Athletics does not guarantee spaces and is not responsible for any spaces.
  5. TAMUK is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
  6. No parked vehicles in the tailgate area. Drop-off only. No non-University golf carts or ATVs.
  7. No pets allowed. Service animals are permitted.
  8. Alcohol: individuals 21+ may consume in the tailgating area only. Providing alcohol to minors is prohibited.
  9. Cans and plastic containers only. No kegs, beer pong, drinking games, or glass bottles.
  10. Food or non-alcoholic beverages must be served alongside any alcoholic beverages.
  11. Designated drivers are encouraged for all tailgating parties.
  12. Disruptive behavior, loud/abusive language, or interference with others may result in removal.
  13. No advertising banners or corporate signage without prior written approval from Athletics.
  14. No selling food/products, raffle tickets, campaigning, or distributing petitions.
  15. No live bands or loud audio systems. Music must stop when Main Stage entertainment begins.
  16. No open pit fires. Fires must be contained to a grill.
  17. Violations may result in termination of tailgating privileges, criminal prosecution, or disciplinary action.
  18. RV owners: call (361) 593-2800 for prior arrangements.
