Alumni Spotlight: Javier Molina 07’

From the baseball diamond in Kingsville to leading revenue for venture-backed software
companies, this Javelina’s story is one of resilience, adaptability, and unwavering pride in his South Texas roots.

A 2007 TAMUK graduate with a BBA in Marketing, he originally came to Kingsville planning
to pursue pharmacy, influenced by his long family history of alumni at A&I while also being recruited to play baseball. Like many Javelinas, his path evolved and that change would shape his future. Javier switched from Marketing to Business early and the impact of Dr. Gresham’s Professional Salesmanship course his senior year opened his eyes to a career in sales.

After graduation, Javier worked his way from an entry level sales job working 7 days a week to owning 9-figures of revenue at a publicly traded software company in a matter of 7 years. Over time, he helped scale venture-backed startupsand public software companies, taking on greater leadership roles along the way.

Today, as Head of Revenue at a Sequoia Ventures backed software company called Nominal, he leads teams selling software to engineers in aerospace, defense, energy, robotics and advanced hardware.

While his professional achievements are impressive, he’s most proud of the teams he’s built, the people he’s mentored, and the life he’s created with his wife, also a Javelina, and their three children. A former Javelina baseball player and team captain, he carries the lessons of teamwork, resilience, and Javelina pride with him into every room he enters.

Once a Javelina, always a Javelina. 🐗💙💛
